He stated that the players playing in BPL should come back and play in this exhibition match. PCB is aiming to showcase the soft image of Balochistan through this because it is a troubled region. Hence, Mr. Sethi said it is important for players to be in this. But the players were unhappy about this as they also wanted to honor their contract.

Earlier, we know Mr. Sethi had a staunch stance regarding players returning for this national duty. He said that it is a matter of national interest that these players come back before the exhibition match. But, the players had contracts with their BPL franchises. Of course, they would have lost money if they had come back before the required period in their contracts.

But, PCB has allowed the players to return till 8 February. They were asked to come back by 2 February before. The situation has changed now. A lot of our top guns are playing in BPL. They have been performing great, which is a good sign for Pakistan’s cricket. Iftikhar Ahmad especially played well. He scored his maiden T20 100, and fans started a social media campaign calling it “Ifti Mania.

These are the players that will play in this exhibition match. This match is also a sort of celebration of Kashmir day. Many players from other franchises are also asked to play in this match.
