1st Innings
Quetta has managed to put up a substantial number on the board. But, they did not have a strong start. Imad got two wickets and bowled a maiden in the opening over to immediately put Quetta on the back foot.
They had little pace on the powerplay since Umar Akmal also left. Sarfraz also failed to make an impact, and the guests were down at 23/4.
The 69-run partnership between Guptill and Iftikhar aided the visitors’ recovery, but the latter was run out in the 15th over by Amir. Guptill went berserk in the slog overs, particularly in the 19th over, when he took Tye to the cleaners, hitting 30 and passing his ton.

2nd Innings
It was all Shoaib Malik from start to finish. At 35/3 on the powerplay, the home team appeared to be in danger, but Malik fought alone and did his most challenging to take the contest further, and it almost succeeded.
Irfan Khan also hung in there, but he lost momentum at the end of the race, and to be honest, Naseem Shah and Mohammad Hasnain bowled wonderfully and exploited the changes well. Karachi Kings have suffered their third consecutive defeat at their home ground. Seems like they are continuing their form from last year. Karachi is a big team and we hope Karachi starts to win.
