1st Innings
- The Delhi Capitals are putting their powerful batting lineup on display in the tournament.
- Lanning and Shafali put them back on track with a 60+ stand during the powerplay.
- The skipper went on to score another 70, Capsey stepped out and maintained the boundaries coming, and Jonassen struck again at the end.
- Rodrigues, too, performed her part admirably, forming an undefeated 67-run combination with Jonassen. UPW read too much into the surface, so they delayed the arrival of Deepti and Ecclestone, allowing DC to get off to a solid start.
- This is a large sum, even without Grace Harris to help them out, it will be difficult.
Second innings
- Early in the pursuit, Delhi was completely wrapped up.
- Jess Jonassen’s spectacular left-arm spin knocked down the major danger, Alyssa Healy, early on, and she and Kapp left UP Warriorz staggering on 31/3.
- They only got 33 points on the powerplay, and it was simply too much to handle from there.
- Tahlia McGrath produced a wonderful knock and went on very much an attack at the end, but UP fell short by 42 runs.
- They took the bold decision to exclude Grace Harris following her spectacular performance the night before.
- The plan was to bring in Shabnim Ismail and take some wickets with the new ball. Yet, it wasn’t working out for them today.
