Babar Azam PSL Career Profile – PSL 2023

Mohammad Babar Azam born on 15 October 1994 in Lahore, Punjab, is a well known cricketer world wide because of its outstanding performance in multiple innings. Babar Azam, is also the current captain of Pakistani International  Cricket Team in all formats.

He is the only batsman who ranked top 3 in all formats in ICC rankings. He is ranked number 1 in ODI and 3 in T20s and test. He is considered as one of the most successful batsman of all times.

Coming to its PSL career, Babar Azam represented Islamabad United during its inaugural season. He then moved to Karachi Kings in 2017 before PSL draft. There he performed well with an average 32.33 runs per innings and became the second leading run scorer in tournament. He retained as a player of Karachi Kings in 2018 with third highest scorer in the tournament. He was again retained as the player of Karachi Kings in 2019.

In 2020, he was appointed as the Vice Captain of PSL with the top scoring batsman in tournament. He scored 473 runs with an average of 59.12 scores and made his team with the tournament. He won different awards in that tournament and was also the Player of Tournament in that PSL season.

He was appointed as the Captain of Karachi Kings in 2021. For 2023 Pakistan Super League, he was traded by Karachi Kings to Peshawar Zalmi.

With 64 PSL matches and 62 innings in total Babar Azam scored 2298 runs with the highest 90 runs in his PSL history.
