The excitement for the forthcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9 soared to unprecedented levels as the famous tournament’s trophy, dubbed “The Orion Trophy,” was unveiled at the Polo Ground of the Race Course Park in Lahore.

Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman of the PCB, attended the event and spoke about the tournament’s significance and the newly unveiled trophy.

He was proud of the HBL PSL’s success story and wished all participating teams the best of luck for the forthcoming season.

The name “Orion” has mythological and cultural importance, and is frequently connected with a prominent constellation near the celestial equator.

The constellation’s famous three brilliant stars create Orion’s Belt, one of the most well-known star patterns in the night sky, seen from both directions.

The Orion Trophy, made of pure silver and finished in white gold, oozes beauty and majesty.

Plated in white gold, every delicate detail contributes to the trophy’s majesty and represents the HBL Pakistan Super League’s greatness.

With over 900 hours of precise craftsmanship and 18,000 hand-placed stones, this masterpiece exemplifies extraordinary commitment and expertise.

Which captains were present?

Captains of all the franchises were present along with the team owners. Shan Masood, Mohammad Rizwan, Babar Azam, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi, and Sarfaraz Ahmad were present at this ceremony.

Sarfaraz is not the captain anymore. However, until the Gladiators appoint a new captain, Sarfaraz is the face of the team.
