If you are a Gladiators fan, this news is not what you want to read if you are having a tough time. Local news sources have claimed that Naseem Shah has decided to part ways with the PSL franchise. But why did he decide this? Sources haven’t been able to get a specific reason. Naseem is said to leave the franchise due to personal reasons.

The young pacer is counted as one of the top pacers Pakistan has produced in the modern era. After a long time of drought in Pakistan’s pace bowling attack, Naseem and Shaheen were the ones who showed what it meant to be a Pakistani pacer. The young 20-year-old fast bowler has accumulated 98 international wickets. He could have gotten a lot more. However, injuries have plagued his short career so far.

About Naseem’s T20 career, he has picked up 87 wickets in 88 matches at an impressive economy rate of 7.73. Naseem has been a Quetta Gladiators player since 2019 and hasn’t left the franchise until now. He represented the team for 28 matches and picked up 26 wickets. Quetta Gladiators has been struggling for the past few seasons. And this news is a massive blow for them.

Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi are interested in picking him in PSL Drafts 2024. Naseem also jumped into the PSL categories. But the injury issue may stop him from playing in PSL 2024. We wish him the best of luck in making a swift recovery. Naseem is an asset to cricket.
