Litton Das has been having troubles with his health for the past few weeks. He couldn’t recover from his ailment. Consequently, the selectors had to rule him out and send a replacement. Here is what the chairman of the selection committee of BCB had to say about Anamul Haque Bijoy.

“Anamul has been performing well in domestic cricket, and we have been watching him through the Bangladesh Tigers program. He was always under our consideration. However, since Litton was unavailable, we needed a top-order batter who could keep wicket, and Anamul was selected for the role.”

Bijoy has played 44 ODIs for Bangladesh, scoring 1254 runs, including three centuries. His last ODI was in December 2020 against India at home.

Let’s see how this entire story plays out for Bangladesh. This was quite a starter from the Bangladesh team. But the hopes are high! Hopefully, it will all end well.
