But, Dahani is ruled out of the remainder of HBL PSL 8 due to his injury. It is a bummer to lose a star like him at the start of the tournament. But how did he get injured? Read more to find out about this story.
Dahani Ruled out!
This is a big blow to Multan Sultans, who had already started with a loss. Although they fought hard, they lost the match by one run. Shahnawaz Dahani played that match as well. But he failed to give any notable performance. His wicket on the last ball was the only good thing that happened to him in this tournament so far. Lost catches, high economy rate, and bad luck. Dahani is having a bad day out there.
He got injured during the exact match against Lahore Qalandars.
Dahani was an essential player for the Sultans, but sources are that Carlos Brathwaite may replace him in today’s match against the Gladiators.
Let’s see fans’ reactions.
Fans not happy
Fans are disappointed. One fan pointed out that young Pakistani players are not keeping up with the fitness standards of the world. He said:
“New Pakistani bowlers are far away from fitness. They just play a few games and get injured.”
Others are sad that they will not be able to see the young fast bowler in the tournament.
“Gutted to be watching this psl without the presence of Multan Sultans ki Shan “Shahnawaz Dahani.” Get well soon champ.“
Dahani was an important part of Multan’s bowling attack. His injury is salt to the wound of Multan Sultans. They have lost their opening match and will look forward to their match against the gladiators at their home ground. It is not like Dahani started well. He conceded 40 runs and took 1 wicket on his last ball. But his Charisma was something that rallied the fans behind him. The man is too nice to be a fast bowler.
Will Brathwaite fill the gap created by Dahani’s absence? We will find out today (15 February 2023) in the match against the Gladiators at 7:30 pm.
