Quetta Gladiators signed Mohammad Amir for PSL 9. This is the first time they have drafted Amir in HBL PSL. This is also the first time Amir is going to play for a franchise other than the Karachi Kings. Amir did tweet when the Gladiators drafted him on 13 December 2023. However, this is the first time he has come across a video and shown his excitement to play for the new team. Excited to play for the Gladiators for the first time

Mohammad Amir, Gladiator’s platinum pick has shown his excitement to join the franchise for the first time in HBL PSL. Amir sent a heartfelt message to all the Quetta Gladiator fans. He started his message by saying that he is happy to play for the Gladiators along with big foreign players like Russow, Jason Roy, Akeal Hossain, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Sherfane Rutherford.

He expressed his feelings about the team combination. Amir said that the team looked really good. He said that it is the combination of really talented local players along with the foreign stars that makes Quetta Gladiators a formidable side in HBL PSL 9. Mohammad Amir mentioned Mohammad Hasinain, Wasim Jnr, and Sarfaraz Ahmad. Amir was especially excited to play again with Sarfaraz Ahmad. He said that “Saifi bhai” is his favourite captain.

Lastly, he thanked Nadeem Omer for trusting in him and said that he would try his best to stand up to his expectations.

Recently, PSL shared the memories from HBL PSL 1, and Amir was the one who took the first-ever hat trick in the history of the tournament. Amir was playing against the Lahore Qalanars and dismissed DJ Bravo, Khan, and Cooper to claim the first hat trick in PSL. This was the 19th over, LQ was already in trouble, and Amir put a final dent in it. Rizwan could only see it from the other end. What a time it was!
