Naseem Shah had a shoulder injury during the Asia Cup, causing him to withdraw. Unfortunately, this setback also eliminated him from the 2023 World Cup, a competition when his presence in the bowling lineup was greatly missed.

Naseem chose to get surgery in England and undertook the necessary medical treatments to solve his shoulder problem. His recovery was completed successfully in the exact location, marking an essential step in his return to the cricket pitch.
