  • Finally, Lahore has arrived in the PSL, although a little late, but Shaheen Afridi’s squad delivered an excellent all-around effort today.
  • The game was quite tighter than predicted at one point, with Lahore frightening the Islamabad bats on the powerplay.
  • Jahandad’s brilliant sprinting catch prevented Hales from scoring, and Agha Salman smothered one on the leg side.
  • Zaman Khan and David Wiese both scored twice on the powerplay, leaving IU at 36/5.
  • Azam Khan and Naseem Shah delivered a couple of heavy blows to keep their team motivated, but Lahore kept coming back with wickets.
  • Faheem Ashraf continued to battle with a courageous score of 41, but he ran out of teammates on the other side of the wicket.
  • Zaman Khan was the best bowler for Lahore today with a 4/37.

Man of the match

RVD won the Man of the Match award. What a way to go! This will be his last match of this season. It is a bummer for the LQ. But man, RVD made sure his team got a nice goodbye gift.
