- Shaheen Afridi is clapping from the dressing room, indicating that he is pleased with the score. However, the Karachi Kings may be pleased because this is a par score rather than a match-winning total.
- Fakhar Zaman regained his form at last and got the Qalandars off to a good start. Shafique took his time getting going, but he, too, reached fifty.
- The frustrating aspect is that the two failed to convert their beginnings.
- Raza and Wiese made cameo appearances at the end to take the score towards 180. It is now up to Qalandar bowlers to take their team to victory.

RESULT | Karachi won by 3 wickets |
- What a thriller this was! It is not an easy task to win against a team that has nothing to lose, while you have got everything in the bargain. But Malik and Irfan made it possible for the Kings.
- They were under pressure as he stepped up to bat. But the veteran guard took his time, unloaded a couple of drilled hits, and eventually blasted one beyond point to send his side home with three minutes remaining. A huge triumph for Karachi.
- They were on a see-saw during the chase, but they just made it over the finish line. The crowd is pleased, as are the coaches and the captain.
- Some game! Shaheen produced a great final over, but Malik’s four off the last ball of his second last over ensured just 8 runs were required from the last over. Zaman bowled an incredible 5 balls before Malik got ahead of him. Even Lahore’s death overs king couldn’t defeat the Karachi Kings here.
Man of the match
It was the day for Irfan Khan. He propelled the team towards a high target by providing quick 35 runs early on. He was very happy about tonight’s performance. Irfan said he planned to play his natural game, which paid off.
