PSL 9: Multan Sultans Retentions
Multan Sultans have announced their retained players. As per the requirements by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), they were to announce them by 7 December. They have decided to retain 7 players from the PSL 8 squad. They have released some players, which has come as a shock to a lot of players. We will be discussing those surprise exclusions or “trades” here. Let’s look at what the Multan Sultans 2024 squad might look like.

Multan Sultans player retentions 2024
Multan Sultans have retained these players for the 2024 PSL edition. Rizwan was an obvious choice. However, a lot of fans were disappointed when Multan traded Shan Masood.

They have their skipper, Rizwan, with them. With some changes in the Multan Sultan’s management, some even speculated that Multan wouldn’t be able to retain Rizwan. However, Multan Sultans released a video with a binary code earlier today.
That Binary code translated to Rizwan and Iftimania. This indicated that Rizwan stayed in MS. This also takes us to Iftikhar Ahmad. His inclusion came as a surprise to a lot of fans.
Apart from these players, they have gotten Faisal for Shan Masood. This came as a bittersweet ending for the Shan X MS romance.
Multan Sultans have also decided to retain their premier fast bowlers, Ihsanullah and Abbas Afridi.
They have Iftikhar and Khushdil, one of the best power hitters Paksitan team has to offer. Both of them are in the Multan Squad. The Sultans mean business this time.
Final words
Multan Sultans have quite a balanced squad right now. They have batters and bowlers in their team. MS will be looking forward to some more batsmen on the draft day. Let’s hope to see some exciting inclusions on 13 November for them.
