First Innings

  • Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma got things started with a 50-plus powerplay duo, and once they left, Jemimah and Alice Capsey took over.
  • The two hitters enjoyed another excellent connection, as both appeared confident from the start. Jemimah hit some magnificent strokes to reach fifty in the 14th over, while Capsey lost her chance at a due fifty by a few runs.
  • Shreyanka was RCB Women’s best bowler because she was economical and, more significantly, she took four critical wickets.

Second Innings

  • With this win, CW has advanced to the playoffs and is now at the top of the standings. Smriti left early, but Molineux, who arrived to begin tonight, and Perry set up a partnership together.
  • Perry was dumped by Capsey, but the chase between the two was always suspicious, resulting in Perry’s exit.
  • Molineux came after that, and another offensive by Devine and Richa Ghosh brought RCBW closer. However, after the break, Devine left, leaving Richa to handle everything on her own.
  • 17 off the last over, and she hit two huge ones to reduce the total to 2 of 1. In the end, they couldn’t help their team past the finish line. What a breathtaking match it was.
