First Innings
Quetta Gladiators came to bat with all the good intentions, but lady luck wasn’t on their side. Wickets after the wicket, no wall could stop this flood. They were only able to put a target of 111 for the Sultans. This wasn’t a great show by the Gladiators, who have struggled for a while. Even Ifti Mania didn’t work.

Highlights
- Ihsanullah’s astonishing speed bowling masterclass has blasted away the Quetta Gladiators today. The teenage fast appears to be the next big thing in Pakistan’s never-ending production line of quicks, having made his superb performance of 5/12.
- Even seasoned hitters like Jason Roy and Iftikhar Ahmed had no response for him today because he was too fast and deadly precise.
- Quetta was languishing at 68/8 at one stage, but a late flurry from Hasnain and then Hafeez propelled them beyond 100.
- Nonetheless, they would believe they are severely short on this track.
2nd Innings
The Sultans were having a field day. It was an easy peasy target for them. Even the early wicket of Shan didn’t shake them. They put a total till the powerplay, with 45-1 on the scorecard. Rilee made sure that they crushed the Gladiators completely.

Highlights
- The Multan Sultans lost an early wicket in the form of Shan Masood.
- Still, Rizwan and Rossouw had a vital partnership that helped their team gain a lead in the second innings, augmenting Ihsanullah’s exertion.
- The Sultans finally won by 9 wickets due to the splendid stand between Rossouw and Rizwan.
- I know the highlights aren’t great, but what can we say? It was a one-sided match.
Man of the match
Isn’t it obvious? Ihsanullah became the man of the match by taking 5-12. His career is the best. He also bowled the fastest bowling spell in the history of HBL PSL.
