Rain has ruined this Asia Cup for all of us, and Wasim Akram has had enough of it.
Speaking to an Indian sports channel, the Pakistani veteran expressed anger at Jay Shah’s hypocrisy. Pakistan was to host this year’s Asia Cup. The security measures were foolproof. Even the ICC teams had cleared all the security aspects before the tournament.

However, Jay Shah, secretary of BCCI, has ruined the tournament for all the cricket fans. He was adamant about shifting the Asia Cup because the Indian team was not getting clearance from their government to visit Pakistan.

Pakistan Cricket Board tried to host the entire tournament in Pakistan. However, BCCI monopolized everything and took other members on board to play more than half of the tournament in Sri Lanka.
It was stupid enough for PCB to accept the hybrid model. Sri Lanka was not wise since it rains cats and dogs during this season. And Wasim Akram has had enough of it. This is what he said to Sanjay Manjarekar on an Indian sports channel:
“First, Pakistan deserved to host the entire Asia Cup at home. Imagine what if we refuse to go to India for the WC & it ends up moving to some other neutral venue? BCCI and its secretary Jay Shah must be called out for such blatant hypocrisy.”
Jay Shah will keep getting this hate for bringing politics into the game and ruining the game for everyone else.
