- On a slow surface, they’d be pretty pleased with this total. Things didn’t start well for Fakhar Zaman, who skewed his powerful drive to hole out at mid-on.
- Rassie van der Dussen was shaky and collapsed while attempting to sweep Tabraiz Shamsi.
- The South African spinner also took Shai Hope’s wicket, but only after the West Indian sent him a couple of powerful knocks.
- Sahibzada Farhan started slowly but timed his innings superbly, allowing him to surge in the second half.
- He landed a couple of heavy shots on Sams and Mir Hamza at the end to remain unbeaten at 72.
- George Linde also made a terrific cameo at the end to help Lahore finish strong.

RESULT | Karachi Kings won by 2 wickets |
- Karachi wins thrillingly with the final ball, and silences the fans at the Gaddafi Stadium!
- The reigning champs have now suffered four consecutive losses and can’t seem to get over the line.
- They had Karachi in serious danger at 44/4, but a fantastic combination between Shoaib Malik and Kieron Pollard changed everything over entirely.
- Malik played a secondary role to Pollard, who batted brilliantly again today, scoring a 29-ball fifty.
- Their 95-run partnership for the fifth wicket gave them the lead heading into the final overs.
- But there was more drama to come as wickets dropped and the game came down to the penultimate ball, with Hamza scoring the winning runs.
Man of the match
Kieron Pollard has won the man of the match for his terrific innings that steered the Kings to their victory. That fifty was something else. But you want to know what else was fire? THAT CATCH FROM POLLARD
