• A significant victory for Islamabad. It had been set up by their bowlers, who held the other team to a below-par total of 150 in Naseem’s unavailability.
• In response, they lost both of their openers on the power play. Salman and Shadab formed a peaceful half-century partnership.
• Muzarabani ended the partnership, and Islamabad had a small stumble as three wickets fell in four overs.
• But Haider Ali and Faheem Ashraf made certain there were no additional losses.
• Haider’s return included two fours and a six, which propelled his side to victory. This has put a dent in Karachi’s efforts to enter the knockout stages.
