Hardik was bowling against Bangladesh in the India vs Bangladesh CWC 2023 match. He got injured during his follow-through when he fell on his ankle. Hardik was taken out on the stretcher, and Suryakumar Yadav replaced him for the next matches.

Now, it has been finalized that Pandya will not be able to make a comeback during the tournament. This was a hard pill to swallow, but the Indian team management has decided to replace him with pacer Prasidh Krishna.

Suryakumar aka Sky is in form and has performed for the team in this tournament. This made things easy for the Indian team since Pandya’s absence wasn’t hurting them. However, this will hurt Pandya a lot since a player of his caliber will not be able to continue in a team that will possibly win the tournament at home.

Get well soon, Pandya!
