1st Innings

The Sultans lost an early wicket again. They lost Shan Masood early again. But it was Rilee and Rizwan who propelled this show in the powerplay. The 2 Rs are back to the rescue again! But the wicket of Rilee gave the United a little hope in the 1st innings. And who came next? Killer Miller came to kill Islamabad’s hopes with his quickfire innings. He scored 52 runs in just 25 deliveries. Rizwan got out after making his fifty, Pollard finished the innings again, and Multan Sultans gave the United a target of 191 runs.

2nd innings

So, Islamabad couldn’t take advantage of the toss. They failed to chase the massive target, while RVD was the only one who provided them with a hint of flare. Multan Sultans won by 52 runs and bowled IU out for 138.

Munro and van der Dussen’s pairing kept the guests in the game, and Azam also played several daring shots, but the hosts appeared to be in control constantly.

It’s no secret that Mir’s wickets removal of Munro and Shadab in the same over was the game-changer, and Multan didn’t put a foot astray after that.

Despite not collecting wickets earlier, Ihsanullah was fiery once more, and his speed worried the hitters. The highlight was Afridi, an inspired selection who scored four goals with some savvy substitutions.

Islamabad was inconsistent with bat and ball and came up relatively short in the end. After Azam’s wicket, there was no hope remaining for the United.
