India has announced their squad for the ICC t20 world cup for women. The T20 world cup will start in February 2023. It will start on 10 February and will continue till 26 February 2023. The tournament is set to be played in South Africa. This is the 8th T20 world cup tournament for women. Originally, this tournament was set to happen earlier. But ICC adjusted the dates due to the FIFA world cup. Hence, we have this settlement now. The squad consisting of 15 players will represent India in the T20 World cup. Harmanpreet Kaur will captain India for the third time in succession at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, alongside Smriti Mandhana serving as her second. Shikha Pandey, who’d already featured in T20I for India in October 2021, has been picked to the 15-member team for the flagship event. Pooja Vastrakar was injured prior to the series versus Australia this month. Despite being nominated to the team, her participation is contingent on her physical condition. Anjali Sarvani, the left-arm bowler who earned her T20I breakthrough versus Australia, is also included in the team.
