- A round of applause for Babar Azam. A class innings is divided into two halves.
- His first 50 came slowly, but his second only took 20 balls as he switched gears seamlessly. Again, Saim Ayub at the helm was effective, and the opening partnership laid the groundwork.
- Following Ayub’s death, Peshawar lost track of Haris and Hasebullah.
- Powell, too, came and went, leaving Babar to do both the scoring and the anchoring.
- But when Asif Ali arrived, Babar cranked up the heat and smashed the youthful Hunain in one over, scoring 23.
- The expected 100 occurred, and Babar’s celebrations demonstrated how much it touched him.

RESULT | Zalmis won by 8 runs |
- Azam Khan deserves a bow. The team was in dismay, but the lad didn’t stop one bit. It is a bummer that his amazing knock is in the losing cause.
- He smashed the ball well during his scorching 30-ball 75, and Peshawar had few answers to his attack.
- However, everything went wrong for Islamabad when he was removed at the end of the 18th over.
- With only 22 required from the final two overs and six wickets in hand, Islamabad remained favourites although losing Azam Khan.
- But Arif Yaqoob, the legspinner, turned things around drastically in the last over, conceding only two runs and taking four wickets.
Man of the match
It is King Bobsy again! Babar Azam has won the Man of the Match award for scoring the ton and taking his team past a decent total.
