Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi announce replacements

Things are changing a lot as HBL PSL 9 has entered the second phase of group stages. Things have become dynamic. In this ever-changing landscape, Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi have replaced their replacements for two players. It has been a problem for the entirety of this tournament. And the worries continue. Let’s see what are the replacements.

Zahid Mehmood in for Saad Baig – Karachi Kings

Zahid Mehmood has replaced Saad Baig. Saad Baig is wicketkeeper-batsman for Karachi Kings, while Zahid Mehmod is a legspinner. This shows Karachi’s intent for the tournament. They want more bowlers.

We won’t talk about how Saad Baig was for the Kings so far since he has only played one match and went out for nought. But, we can talk about Zahid.

Zahid has a fairly decent performance in T20s. He has played 68 matches, taken 88 wickets, and has an economy rate of 7.27 runs per over. Hopefully, he can be a breath of fresh air for Karachi.

Hussain Talat in for Waqar Salamkheil – Peshawar Zalmi

Hussain Talat has replaced Waqar in Peshawar Zalmi. Waqar has only played one match for the Zalmis and couldn’t do much for them.

Now, Hussain has replaced him and joined the show for Zalmis. Hussain Talat’s all-around ability can be impactful for the Zalmis, and help them maintain their spot in the top-4 on the points table.

Conclusion

Things are changing a lot. This PSL was not consistent when it came to the availability of the players. Some left the midway, while the others got injured. PSL franchises have to consider things when they select the players in the draft. If the players leave the team in the middle of the tournament, it doesn’t leave a good taste in your mouth.
